Finished! (for now)
So, last wednesday I handed in my features article for my course which was incredibly exciting and a relief. Phew. It was however annoying to discover for 2 weekends in a row that, The Observer and The Sunday Times both did features on the pros and cons of travelling to Burma, which was the crux of our article! ARGH! They both did seem to favour travel to Burma, and were promoting it loads, as both of the journalists went there, whereas ours showed both sides of the arguement, but kinda leant towards to agreeing with the tourism booycott. I may post it on here so people can see just how good it is, but we are in the process of trying to get it published somewhere, so we'll see how that goes.
Next task is my dissertation, which is going to be on the death of print journalism and the rise of online journalism (well music journalism) but the same is true for both news and music and all sorts of journalism. Gotta try and get interviews of the people who did that 'Pulp' magazine as it folded in the first week of printing. I thought that would be an interesting features, yes I did.
I'm getting down with this last.fm malarkey, but it's had a few teething problems; not the programme but meeeeeeeee. It's very confusing but highly wicked. You type in the name of a band you like e.g. Radiohead and it finds and plays music by the artist and matches it with other bands you might like. It also tells you if they have a gig on and the similar artists gigs. It's music social networking. Like myspace and facebook but with music. It's ace, I like it.
I suddenly feel it's time for a cat nap, so more from me tomorrow
TA TA, HAHA I'm back!
